About This Plant

  • Plant: Philodendron 'Micans Aurea Variegated', a velvety trailing vine with bronze-green leaves and golden-yellow variegation.
  • Origin: Cultivated selection

Plant Care

  • Light: Bright indirect light; too little light fades the variegation.
  • Water: Water when the top inch of the mix is dry.
  • Soil: Light, well-draining aroid mix with bark and perlite.
  • Humidity: Average to high humidity, 50% or more.
  • Temperature: 65–85°F. Keep above 60°F.
  • Feeding: Feed monthly in the growing season with diluted balanced fertilizer.
  • Note: Trim any fully reverted green growth to protect the variegation.

Care

Every plant has its own needs: light, water, soil, humidity, temperature and feeding. Not sure? Ask us. We want your plant to thrive as much as you do.

When it arrives, keep it in bright, indirect light, hold off on repotting and fertilizing for 1–2 weeks and water only if the soil is dry. Full guide on our Keeping the Flame page.
