About This Plant

  • Plant: Philodendron 'Joeppi Variegated', a climbing aroid with lobed, glossy leaves splashed with creamy white and pale green variegation.
  • Origin: Cultivated selection

Plant Care

  • Light: Bright indirect light; shield variegated areas from harsh direct sun.
  • Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of mix are dry, never leaving roots soggy.
  • Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix with bark, perlite and a little peat or coco.
  • Humidity: Prefers 50–70% humidity but adapts to average home levels.
  • Temperature: 65–85°F. Keep above 60°F.
  • Feeding: Feed monthly in the growing season with a balanced fertilizer at half strength.
  • Note: Give it a moss pole or support to encourage larger, more mature leaves.

Care

Every plant has its own needs: light, water, soil, humidity, temperature and feeding. Not sure? Ask us. We want your plant to thrive as much as you do.

When it arrives, keep it in bright, indirect light, hold off on repotting and fertilizing for 1–2 weeks and water only if the soil is dry. Full guide on our Keeping the Flame page.
