About This Plant

  • Plant: Monstera deliciosa 'Electrolight' Variegated, a cultivated variegated Monstera with bright, speckled variegation across its split leaves.
  • Origin: Monstera deliciosa is native to the tropical forests of southern Mexico and Central America. This variegated form is a cultivated selection.

Plant Care

  • Light: Bright, indirect light. Variegated leaves need more light than green ones, but direct sun will scorch the pale sections.
  • Water: Water when the top 2 inches are dry. Don't let it sit in water.
  • Soil: A chunky, fast-draining aroid mix (bark, perlite, coco coir).
  • Humidity: 50% or higher.
  • Temperature: 65–85°F. Keep it above 60°F.
  • Feeding: Balanced liquid fertilizer monthly during active growth.
  • Note: A climber. Give it a moss pole for larger, more mature leaves.

Care

Every plant has its own needs: light, water, soil, humidity, temperature and feeding. Not sure? Ask us. We want your plant to thrive as much as you do.

When it arrives, keep it in bright, indirect light, hold off on repotting and fertilizing for 1–2 weeks and water only if the soil is dry. Full guide on our Keeping the Flame page.
