About This Plant
- Plant: Anthurium 'Pterodactyl Golden', a rare form with long, narrow, deeply lobed leaves that emerge with golden-chartreuse tones.
- Origin: Cultivated selection
Plant Care
- Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.
- Water: Water when the top inch of mix feels dry, keeping it lightly moist but never soggy.
- Soil: Very chunky, fast-draining aroid mix with orchid bark, perlite and a little coco coir.
- Humidity: Prefers 60% or higher humidity, but adapts to average home levels.
- Temperature: 65–85°F. Keep above 60°F.
- Feeding: Feed monthly in the growing season with a balanced fertilizer at quarter to half strength.
- Note: Thick, airy roots rot easily, so make sure the pot drains freely and never sits in water.

Care
Every plant has its own needs: light, water, soil, humidity, temperature and feeding. Not sure? Ask us. We want your plant to thrive as much as you do.
When it arrives, keep it in bright, indirect light, hold off on repotting and fertilizing for 1–2 weeks and water only if the soil is dry. Full guide on our Keeping the Flame page.
