About This Plant
- Plant: Alocasia 'Stingray Variegated', with unusual upright, stingray-shaped leaves marbled with cream and white variegation.
- Origin: Cultivated selection
Plant Care
- Light: Bright indirect light; too little light causes weak, leggy growth and fading variegation.
- Water: Water when the top inch of mix is dry; keep evenly moist without sitting in water.
- Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix with bark, perlite and a bit of coco coir.
- Humidity: Prefers 60–80% humidity for the best leaf development.
- Temperature: 65–85°F. Keep above 60°F.
- Feeding: Feed every 3–4 weeks in the growing season with a half-strength balanced fertilizer.
- Note: Alocasia may go dormant in cool weather; reduce watering rather than discarding the corm.

Care
Every plant has its own needs: light, water, soil, humidity, temperature and feeding. Not sure? Ask us. We want your plant to thrive as much as you do.
When it arrives, keep it in bright, indirect light, hold off on repotting and fertilizing for 1–2 weeks and water only if the soil is dry. Full guide on our Keeping the Flame page.
